School Psychologist
As a School Psychologist, Leah Place works with schools and families to help students have success. Ms. Place coordinates special education evaluations and team discussions on if students meet eligibility criteria as having special education disabilities. She has extensive experience administering and interpreting a wide array of assessment tools (cognitive, social-emotional, adaptive, academic, etc). Ms. Place also participates in Park Hill’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process by helping interpret data, aligning interventions with student needs, and reviewing intervention effectiveness. She is passionate about partnering with parents and educators to find common ground, celebrate student strengths, and help teams make decisions that are student-focused.
Ms. Place is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with over two decades of experience working in public schools. She completed a Bachelor in Psychology at State University of New York (SUNY) College at Potsdam and completed her School Psychology graduate work through Alfred University.
